The U.S. Open tournament, held Sunday September 3rd in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, marked the very significant moment of Andre Agassi's career. The American tennis icon ended his 21-year career after his 21st consecutive tournament resulted in a loss to unknown German Benjamin Becker.

Collapsing in his courtside chair, Agassi was cheered by 20,000 people attending the tournament, as well as his tennis champ wife, Steffi Graf and their two children, Jaden, 4, and Jaz, 2.

Agassi & Graf to Become Co-Owners of A Hotel

Tennis greats Andre Agassi and wife Steffi Graf are reported to become co-owners of a hotel, which will be located in Idaho Mountain, and will be, of course, a luxury hotel. Seeking an activity that will obviously keep her busy while her tennis career is over, Graff is quite happy with her new project. She even thrilled with the location, saying "We couldn't have picked a better spot."

In the meantime, Agassi reportedly is concerned an ankle injury may force him to miss next month's Australian Open - while he has also decided to miss the French Open in 2006. The 35-year-old tennis player sprained his left ankle while playing racquetball about eight weeks ago. He then reinjured it while losing his first match in Shanghai on November 14 before withdrawing from the Tennis Masters Cup.

Tennis Couple Continuing Doubles for Ad

Tennis couple, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, again continuing their doubles play. This time they're going doubles with Genworth Financial, a financial services company that has agreed to support their charitable works.

As for this project, Genworth said it will debut a third print and television advertisement Monday featuring the husband-and-wife duo, and will announce an extension of the sponsorship agreement through 2007. The new ad will coincide with the start of the U.S. Open in New York.
