Aly and AJ Undergoing Name Change
July 09, 2009 10:07:28Teen pop duo, Aly & AJ, has changed its name into 78violet. The stars themselves confirmed the name change on their Twitter account, writing "You guys are unbelievable! This is how you spell 'our new name' 78violet. No spaces. All lower case letters. Love you all." They added, "u pronounce #78violet as seventy eight violet:)"
Hollywood Records, additionally, confirmed the matter on Wednesday, July 8, Examiner has reported. Though so, the recording company didn't elaborate on the reason that prompted the name change nor did it mention the inspiration behind the new moniker.
'Twilight' Rocks L.A. With World Premiere
November 18, 2008 01:11:08Gearing up to the wide release of "Twilight" this coming Friday, November 21, Summit Entertainment have held one special event through a world premiere of the much awaited vampire drama in Los Angeles. On Monday, November 17, evening, the studio rolled down red blood carpet at the Mann Village and Bruin theaters in Westwood, California, to welcome stars and guests.
With every corner in the middle of Westwood Village flooded with enthusiastic fans, the film's leading stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, were spotted walking down the red carpet. The two were joined by their co-stars, including Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli and Taylor Lautner.
Inside Zac Efron's 21st Birthday Party
October 20, 2008 01:10:34Zac Efron had double celebrations Saturday, October 18 to mark his 21st birthday; an intimate dinner with family, friends, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" co-stars, and girlfriend, and an after party at Chateau Marmont. And he kept his promise to "not going Vegas" but still "have fun" for the bash.
The dinner was held at Italian restaurant Pace in L.A. Zac's parents, brother and actress girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens were among the people attending the feast. They were all joined by Zac's "HSM3" co-stars Monique Coleman, Ashley Tisdale, and her dancer boyfriend Jared Murillo. Zac's celebrity friends, like Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow and singing sisters Aly & AJ were also there.
'City of Ember' Celebrates Its Premiere in New York
October 08, 2008 02:10:03In anticipation of "City of Ember" theatrical release this coming Friday on October 10, Fox-Walden Media have presented moviegoers with the premiere of their latest adventure fantasy film. Held at AMC Loews 19th Street Theatre, New York City, on Tuesday, October 7, the special screening event was a star-studded extravaganza.
Rolling out the red carpet outside the theater, the evening event saw many of "Ember" cast ensemble, such as Harry Treadaway, Saorise Ronan, Bill Murray, Tim Robbins and Martin Landau. While Robbins who stars as Loris Harrow attended the premiere accompanied by his partner Susan Sarandon, Murray who portrays Ember's Mayor Cole, walked down the red carpet with yellow miner's helmet on his head and on his hand.
Video Premiere: Aly and AJ's 'Like Whoa'
January 21, 2008 09:01:44Beside giving their comments on MTV's Super Sweet 16, pop duo Aly & AJ are still keen on promoting their second album, 'Insomniatic'. They have premiered the music video for the second single lifted from the album, titled 'Like Whoa'.
The video made here is the Disney version where there are scenes from Disney's production TV movie, 'Minutemen'. The intertwined shots are meant to promote the movie which will be broadcast on Disney Channel and Family Channel on Friday, January 25.

A deluxe set of Aly & AJ's latest album 'Insomniatic' will be released on November 6. Not only it's a special edition but the package is also limited release.
Included in the edition are the original CD containing the 15 tracks including hit 'Potential Breakup Song', a bonus DVD with the duo's My Super Sweet 16 & 18 Birthday Party Review, My Super Sweet 16 & 18 Birthday Party, Sisterhood TV Show, and also MTV Cribs.
