Who took home prizes at this year's Kerrang! Awards have been announced at a gala ceremony held in London on August 3. Out of thirteen categories, were the only band who walked home with more than one prize.

This rock band received two kudos at the annual awards. They were named Best International Band, winning over , , and . They also got Best Live Band title, beating Metallica, , and Gallows.

A seven-minute video is released for ' new single "A Looking in View". The song is particularly special because it is the first release from the band in 14 years after the self-titled album in 1995.

Alice in Chains are back in motion after losing their vocalist Layne Staley to drug abuse in 2002. The band took a hiatus for three years after Staley's death and reunited in 2005 with a number of guest singers. This year, they finally settled on a replacement, recruiting William DuVall to be the official vocalist.

For what could be the most anticipated joint act, and have decided to hit the road together for a summer tour. The two huge names in rock industry will shake the stages in U.S. and Canada until fall.

"They're good friends of ours, and obviously they have amazing songs," Velvet frontman Scott Weiland said upon Alice. "People have been saying the shows were amazing, and they were drawing some pretty big crowds, so we figured it would be kind of a cool gig. It would be fun to watch them play every night and listen to those songs."

Here it comes . The music act is back on the road, revealing 40 planned schedules for North American Fall tour that will get underway September 22 in Las Vegas and run through November 26 in San Francisco, with additional dates being added over the next few weeks.

South African rock band has to, unfortunately, cancel their August tour dates following frontman Shaun Morgan's decision to check himself into a rehabilitation clinic for treatment of substance abuse.

Hence, Morgan's treatment has forced the band to cancel its August touring plans and following scheduled appearances this week, all future plans have been placed on hold until further notice.

Numbers of notable musicians were joining the reformed ' free show in its Seattle hometown on Tuesday May 16th, 2006. Among the many names there were former Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil and vocalist .

The free show was held at the Moore Theater and was billed as an "open rehearsal" for a five-city club tour that begins Thursday May 18th at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles. The Moore show, moreover, also included such guest performers as bassist Duff McKagan and former guitarist Chris DeGarmo.

Metallica in Chain with Alice for LA Gig

Fans of rock bands and could soon enjoy their being on the stage together as the two music acts are about to play together at a Hollywood benefit concert next month honoring Metallica singer James Hetfield who has battled addiction to drug.

As part of the gig, Hetfield and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo will share the stage at Music Box at Henry Fonda on May 12 alongside Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney. The concert/dinner is a fund-raiser for the MusiCares MAP Fund, which provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment regardless of their financial situation.

Reunited Alice In Chains Reveals Tour Dates

Continuing their reunion which has been commenced since 2005, , through their spokeswoman, announced on Monday, April 24 that they have already fixed up dates for a tour around the States and European. Slated to begin on May 18 in Los Angeles, it next will be commenced in clubs in San Diego, Chicago, Boston, and New York City before reaches a number of countries in Europe running from May 26 in Portugal through July 2 in Netherlands.

According to a statement, a singer named William Duvall has been billed to be the substitute of the band's late lead singer, Layne Staley, as they carry out the tour which will also feature a few other special guests and musical friends. "We're not trying to replace Layne," drummer Sean Kinney commented. "We want to play these songs one more time, and if it seems like the right thing to do, it'll happen. I don't know how long it will go or where it will take us. It's kind of a tribute to Layne and our fans, the people who love these songs."

Surviving Alice In Chains Are Hitting the Road

It's been so long that doesn't embark on a tour since their last with late frontman Layne Staley in 1996. Since then the rest members of the group only go on stage once that was at a February 2005 tsunami benefit show in Seattle.

And now, the surviving members of the grunge rock band are planning to hit the road this summer. Group members, which include guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney, will all perform together at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria on June 28.
