Swedish pop group have made chart history as their 1992 album compilation "" lands at number one in U.K. Albums chart. The Official Chart Company said that being the fourth biggest-selling album and one of the top 40 worldwide with sales scanning 26 million copies since it has been released, the album becomes the oldest ever to reach number one.

Ten pop songs have been listed through BBC 6 Music ballot to reign the worst lyrics chart. Des'ree's "Life" came out the ultimate 'winner' by sitting at the 1st post through a 30 per cent votes.

Announcing the top ten list, the radio presenter Marc Riley says, "Bad lyrics can come in all forms - some acceptable, some less so. Dumb is sometimes OK, but pious and pretentious and pompous are obviously never to be encouraged nor tolerated." In defense to this, Martin Fry from English band ABC who sat at #4 said, "I have been waiting for this kind of accolade for years. The most memorable lyrics are often the stupidest."

For what is considered as the most anticipated rock tour in 2007, the announcement of 's tour dates is undoubtedly great news to music fans especially in rock genre. Heaven and Hell as the Ronnie James Dio's version of is reunited in this tour for the first time since 15 years ago. The band is finally hitting the road starting from March 11 in Vancouver.

There has been 12 stops revealed in the band's official website, including the one night only stop at the prestigious New York's Radio City Music Hall on March 30. Besides the 12 dates, the announcement of additional tour schedules which are up to the end of the year in Europe, Asia and US will follow after.

Musical Mamma Mia! Is Heading to the Big Screen

"", the musical inspired by disco-pop hits, is heading for the big screen. Getting involved in the highly anticipated project is who, through his production company Playtone, has inked a deal with Littlestar Services Limited, the company run by the hit show's producer, Judy Craymer, and ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus.

All of the persons are now in discussion over the project with Universal Pictures to finance and distribute. In the meantime, Judy has been slated to produce alongside Gary Goetzman, and Catherine Johnson is penning the screenplay. Details on "Mamma Mia!" are being kept under wrap, but it is said that the flick is expected to be released in late 2007.

Surely 2006 will be such an unforgettable year for for the band becomes one of the inductees of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the likes of , , , and . All of them will officially take the honor in the foundation's Twenty-First Annual Induction Ceremony slated to be held on Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. In the Non-Performer category comes the name of Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss who both are the founder of A&M records which was established in 1962 and so will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The inductees of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are chosen by the foundation's nominating committee which consists of rock and roll historians. Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record.

ABBA Won't Regroup

. You won't hear the group's name anymore when their latest compilation hit the record stores. One of its members, Bjorn Ulvaeus, said Monday that ABBA had no intention to follow the footsteps of other famous bands that have regrouped in recent years.

It's clear already that the new box set of ABBA's complete studio recordings, featuring nine CDs and two DVDs, will be their final. Asked about this matter, Ulvaeus replied "Absolutely ... If you ask me, yes."

ABBA Reunited Sent Fans Crazy

For the very first time in 19 years, members of Swedish pop sensations ABBA, Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog, have reunited. Attending the premiere of the musical Mamma Mia at the Cirkus Theatre in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday February 12, 2005 they sent fans crazy.

All together in the auditorium, there were only Benny and Bjorn got up to take a bow, but Agnetha and Anni-Frid remained in their seats. No one was sure whether all four members will reform the group or not, since their reunion doesn't give any clue for them to do so.
